This year, we are dedicating the 53rd edition of the Trogir Summer Festival to the legendary Trogir nightingale, Vinko Coce. As one of the most important performers of Dalmatian-Mediterranean musical expression, Vinko Coce dedicated his life to music and love for Trogir. In his honor, we open the summer with beautiful timeless songs that he left us as an eternal memory.
With a musical show called “Vinko Coce – Dalmatia, the sea, me and you”, we mark 10 years of farewell to the Dalmatian singing icon. On the town square, all Trogir associations and musicians will revive memories of numerous anthology hits such as “Kada umrem zamotan u bilo”, “Vilo moja” and many others. Vinko’s distinguished tenor left a significant mark as one of the creators of klapa singing, which is a recognizable feature of Croatian and world music art. In addition, the details of his musical creation and everyday situations will be shared by his closest friends and colleagues, and the entire program is complemented by video reports from Vinko’s life.
