Folklore evening – Prigorje & Trogir

As part of the 53rd Trogir Summer Festival, and on the occasion of the celebration of 100 years of existence and activities, the Croatian cultural and artistic society “Prigorec” Markuševac is coming to the main town square. The society was founded way back in 1923, and has around 150 active members, of various ages from 3 to 73, in three sections: folklore, tambura and choir. In this way, through its activities, it nurtures Croatian heritage and preserves the identity of both its region and other parts of Croatia.

The entire 2023 year of the Company’s work is in the atmosphere of celebrating the great and significant 100th anniversary of its activity. They will show their skills on Sunday, July 30 at 8:30 p.m. on Trg Ivana Pavla II, and the entire program of this folklore evening will be completed by the hosts, KUD Kvadrilja, otherwise one of the societies with the longest continuity of activity in Trogir, and one of the most important participants of cultural life of the city of Trogir and promoter of dance and music heritage.
