53rd Trogir Summer Festival Program

An official press conference was held today in Trogir on the occasion of presenting the program of the 53rd edition of the Trogir Summer Festival. Marin Piveta, director of the Trogir Tourist Board and Viktor Novak, deputy mayor of Trogir, presented a rich two-month program with over 60 events that will be held at different locations in the city.

The program of Trogir Summer Festival has been promoting the development of culture and art in the town for many years. Thanks to the long-standing tradition of authentic cultural creativity, this event has become one of the most prominent in Dalmatia, and thanks to tourism, it spreads its impact to all parts of the world. The City of Trogir and the Trogir Tourist Board are continuously making strides in the quality of the program, thanks to which Trogir has become a world-renowned cultural tourism destination.

This year’s edition of the Trogir Summer Festival is marked by high quality and diverse content that will satisfy just about everyone’s taste.

The program begins on July 5 with a ceremonial opening and the musical spectacle “Vinko Coce – Dalmatia, the sea, me and you”, which we dedicate to the legendary Trogir nightingale Vinko Coce, and mark 10 years since the prominent Dalmatian tenor left us. All Trogir’s associations and musicians will relive the memories of numerous anthology hits that he left us as an eternal memory, and the entire opening is complemented by video reports from Vinko’s life and testimonies of his closest friends and associates.

After the opening, a long list of festivals and performers awaits us. Therefore, the locals and their guests will enjoy unforgettable summer evenings. Among the famous names of the domestic music scene, we are expecting Doris Dragović, Jole, Crvena Jabuka, Dalmatino & Cambi, Adi Šoše and Matija Cvek, Zlatko Pejaković and many others.

This year, traditional cultural festival Opera Selecta is celebrating its 15th edition, where we can expect a gala concert by the HRT Symphony Orchestra, a fashion show, a documentary film and a string ensemble. Fans of pop music at the urban KulaKula Festival can listen to Prljavo kazalište, Konstrakt and Zemlja Gruva, Who see&Kiril Džajkovski, Halid Bešlić, Parni Valjak feat. Igor Drvenkar and many others.

This year, under the walls of the Fortress Kamerlengo we are celebrating the 10th edition of the Moondance Festival, one of the leading underground techno festivals in the region, where more than 20 international, regional and local live and DJ performers await us.

A unique experience of authentic Mediterranean melodies will be performed by Klapa Trogir, as well as Trogir Musicians who will win the hearts of true classical music lovers with their combination of vocals and instruments. In addition, several fisherman’s festivals are organized, where Dalmatian specialties are prepared on the streets of the town and surrounding places, accompanied by cheerful music and atmosphere.

This summer, Fortress Kamerlengo and Park Malarija will become open air stage where, in addition to cinema screenings, numerous famous actors from the theatre world will perform. So, adults can expect the plays “Ljubav na prvi pogled” (Love at first sight), with Zijad Gračić and Matija Prskalo, “Zakon Zagore” directed by Ivan Leo Lema, “Sretna ne bila” by PlayDrama Theater, and other performances for both adults and children.

Trogir Cultural Summer traditionally ends with Bokun festival, which promotes classics from the world of film and art, under the motto “Culture to the people“.
